The infamous Mötley Crüe have released a brand new single. The official music video for “All Bad Things” was unveiled late yesterday. The band also revealed the plans for their final show ever. On December 31, 2015, Mötley Crüe will return home to Los Angeles for the last show of The Final Tour. The band’s career began in Los Angeles 34 years ago. Last year, the first leg of The Final Tour saw the band perform in 72 cities and earn over $45 million. This year, the band are set to tour the world with stops in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. This summer, the band will co-headline some of the world’s biggest festivals including Download Festival (UK), Nova Rock (Austria), and Sweden Rock Festival (Sweden). Mötley Crüe will return to the U.S. this summer to wrap up The Final Tour. To commemorate today’s announcement, the band has put their greatest hits collection up for free download via Google Play. “We set up the Final Tour so we could see our loyal fans in person one more time and thank them for all their support over the years,” Sixx states. “One of the many things we are doing before its all over is collaborating with the people at Google Play to give away our greatest hits collection for free through the week of January 20. The band’s exclusive VIP Packages and fan club presales begin tomorrow, Wednesday, January 21
at 10am EST, with a special Citicard Member presale beginning at 5pm EST. Presales begin this Thursday, January 22 at 10am local time and the public on-sale begins on Friday, January 23 at 10am local time. Select dates (including the band’s Final New Year’s Eve show) go on sale this Saturday, January 24 at 10 am local time. “We just want to go out on top, and leave a legacy behind,” said frontman Vince Neil. “We won’t be doing any more concerts after this. This is The Final Tour.” Bassist Nikki Sixx added, “This is a huge celebration for us. It’s going to be a really fantastic tour.” Alice Cooper will once again be joining the band for most of the tour dates. On Thursday, the band are set to perform on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
For 34 years, Mötley Crüe have embodied all that is excess in rock ‘n’ roll. They exploded onto the Sunset Strip in the early ’80’s with their raw-as-hell debut album, Too Fast For Love, in 1981. The band achieved their greatest commercial success in the late ’80’s with 1987’s Girls, Girls, Girls, which hit #2 on the Billboard Top 200. The follow-up, 1989’s Dr. Feelgood, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and spawned five huge huge hit singles. Both albums are now certified over 7x platinum. Throughout their legendary career, The Crüe have garnered three Grammy Award nominations and four American Music Award nominations. They won the American Music Award for Favorite Hard Rock/Metal Album in 1990 for Dr. Feelgood. In 2006, the band received their Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mötley Crüe are one of the best-selling artists of all time, with over 80 million records sold worldwide.
